Andrew is an English artist-painter who went to France 14 years ago, liked the way of life there, and stayed. Whilst in England Andrew worked as a design engineer, and practicing surfing, windsurfing and sailing in his spare time.

 

Following redundancy, in 1996, Andrew decided to change careers. Thus, armed with his  «Yachtmaster» certificate,  he started delivering sailing boats around Europe.  At Carcassonne,  one cold winter,  Andrew decided to learn to paint.  His early works were promising and encouraged him to continue.

 

Andrew is completely self-taught,  without any artistic training.  He paints,  in oils,  boats, barges and the sea - large forceful breaking waves.

 

Not wanting to rest fixed in one subject, Andrew also paints birds with the same realism and he has recently begun a series of modes of transport on an abstract backgrounds, thus combining abstraction with realism.He exposes regularly throughout France.
